I had experienced real low speeds on my computer coupled with constant crashes. It had a very distressing affect on me. Even though I had installed a very good anti-virus program, it, for whatever reason did not seem to rectify the problems. On the contrary, the two problems seemed to have a free hand with my computer. I probed the Internet for clues, and what I found - to my chagrin - was that I was barking up the wrong tree. There was no virus on the computer. It was the Windows Registry that had gone kaput - it had missing entries and many errors. If the registry could be rectified, then the computer would function normally.

Now that the root of the issue had been identified, I probed the net and found a lot of Registry Repair Software available online; Regcure, Max Registry Cleaner and Live Help, to name a few. The Regcure program caught my attention. It offered the customary registry repair features that I guess come with most, if not every such program. It also offered features like Backup & Restore, Custom scan and Scheduled scan which I did not find in the other software. I told myself that this was good enough for me and decided to try it. Regcure offered a free trial of its Scan feature. I downloaded it and put my computer under its scrutiny. I was a little taken aback to see that the computer had about 200 odd errors.

I knew then that I had to purchase this piece of software. I ran Regcure after adding it to my system. It found some more errors this time around and it fixed the lot, in less than 10 minutes. I restarted the system and was mighty pleased to find that the computer had begun to behave normally again. It started up without wasting too much time either. It also became obvious that the system worked at a relatively faster speed than before. And oh yes, it did not crash. I played around with the other facilities that the software had to offer. I disabled quite a few programs in the startup manager using the Regcure software, and that contributed to good speed at startup. I do not wait for the system to come up like I did before. I have scheduled the scan for a weekend run. This means that Regcure will scan the computer every Saturday for any problems with the Registry. It will identify and rectify them, all on its own. I don’t have to remember to do it. There are some features/benefits like Scan Log Analysis that other software offer. I hope ParetoLogic - the company which owns Regcure - incorporates them into their product.
